Angie

Following her mother's diagnosis of dementia, Angie's life changed, meaning that her career had to change too.

“Activities make people feel better; they make people feel like they have a purpose. The residents here are given the opportunity to enjoy what they did before they moved here, or to try new things if they wish to. And I go home after my shift knowing that I made someone smile that day.”

Following her mother’s diagnosis of dementia, Angie’s life changed, meaning that her career had to change too. Previously Angie worked in an office, but this wasn’t enough, she wanted a role that makes a difference to others. That’s when Angie began her career at Frith House as an Activities Co-ordinator.
