We’re excited to offer our staff the recognition they deserve for the work that they do. So, every year, we hold an awards ceremony built to recognise individuals and teams from across the group for their outstanding achievements, contributions and dedication. With a number of different awards on offer to our staff, new members and innovators alike will continue to be acknowledged for their achievements in home care.
Long Service Awards
Whilst we enjoy celebrating the success of some of our new team members, we take just as much pride in recognising the amazing contributions of staff members who have reached a long service milestone. The Long Service Awards is a local team event built to uphold the tremendous efforts of those who have remained loyal to us through the years.

Free training and career development prospects
When we were young, we liked our clothes with room to grow. Now, we like our work with room to grow! As part of our team, we will encourage free training set up to continue to develop your skills. We want to give you every reason to continue working with us, and will strive to offer you the opportunity to grow within our organisation.

Qualification bonus of £100 on completion
Though a new qualification is a great achievement in itself, we want to continue to encourage continued learning and improvement for our staff. For every apprenticeship qualification you obtain, we will offer £100 on your completion.

Nurse £500 welcome bonus (£250 for Relief Nurses)
Those with nursing qualifications are eligible for up to £500 as a welcome bonus when they join our team as recognition of the additional skills they will be able to bring to home care.
Hub
We have a new learning management system for all our staff which will allow you to access e-learning online to complete your mandatory training. This training can be done on a laptop, computer or your phone. You can also undertake other learning which will support your development. You can book your face to face training on the system and also check your compliance with your training requirements.
Apprenticeships
In our efforts to continue to encourage the development of all our staff, Apprenticeships are also open to everyone on the Somerset Care team. These growth opportunities will help you gain a nationally recognised qualification, as well as help with your development within the company. We offer a wide range of these qualifications, which cover all departments and areas of the business. So no matter what your role, there’s something for everyone!
