Join our Cary Brook Team, part of the Somerset Care Group, in Castle Cary.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will clean various areas of the home as allocated by your supervisor including Service Users’ bedrooms, and will involve Service Users where possible and practical
- You may be asked to work within the kitchen area, which will include: cleaning the kitchen equipment, floors, surfaces, cupboards and storage areas on a daily basis as agreed with or directed by the supervisor or Cook
- You will undertake basic preparation of food and beverages, e.g. preparing and serving light snacks such as sandwiches, rolls, and toast for Service Users
- You will carry out dining room activities such as laying tables and clearing away as required
- You may be involved in assisting with carrying out personal care duties, and may be involved in assisting will manual handling duties as required
- You will access and update confidential records using a computer on a daily bases. You may also be required to use technology to support Customers in order to improve health and well-being in order to maintain contact with family and friends e.g. Skype, YouTube, Internet etc
- You will observe the Service Users’ well-being and environment and report any problems, hazards or difficulties immediately to a senior member of staf
What we’re looking for:
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for people
- Able to work alternate weekends
- Hours available (per week): 27
